Ian Smith remarks at 16th American Peptide Symposium Closing Banquet:

OK, I'll be brief... The 4th Australian Peptide Meeting will be held in October 2001. I'd like to invite you all to come and crack a can of cold Fosters, throw a few prawns at the barbecue, and join us somewhere off the coast of Northern Queensland. The aim of all our meetings is to combine good science with a terrific location - we'll use one of the islands on the barrier reef, and of course to have lots of fun. And as Paul Alewood said: "Great science, no clothes, total indulgence." I hope to see you there, thank you very much.

Addendum (11/99) So far we have not finalized dates or made the final decision on the location. I hope to have all that information before the European meeting in September.
