The winner of the 1999 Merrifield Award is Daniel H. Rich, the Ralph F. Hirschmann Professor of Medicinal and Organic Chemistry, of the University of Wisconsin College of Pharmacy and Department of Chemistry. Click here for details.

The American Peptide Society will present the Merrifield Award, endowed by Dr. Rao Makineni. The recipient will be a living scientist whose research, teaching, and service has had a substantial impact on the intellectual and practical development of peptide science. The award recognizes scientists at a point in their careers where a substantial body of creative work is available and sufficient time has passed to place their work in perspective. All members of the American Peptide Society are invited to submit nominations for the Merrifield Award to be presented at the 16th American Peptide Symposium.
