Why I Turned In More Than Ten Poems

Let                                       a = b                             (i)

Then,                             a2 = ab

And,                     a2 - b2 = ab - b2

So,               (a + b)(a - b) = b(a - b)

And,                              a + b = b

By (i),                          b + b = b

Thus,                              2b = b

And,                                   2 = 1                              Q.E.D.

Reader:  "Wait a minute! Is that poetry?"

Poet:  "Of course! It's a paradox, isn't it?"

Reader:  "Oh. Yeah..."
