Lots of students in the group head to New Orleans for the ACS National Meeting. Graduate student Naveen Rondla and post-doc Dr. Jodi Ogilvie gave oral presentations on their work in catalysis. Undgergraduate Dylan Walsh gave a poster presentation on his work on asymmetric catalysis. Graduate students Katie McGarry and Vicki Chemistruck gave poster presentations on their work on small molecule based materials for organic electronics. Chris tags along for support before heading to OSU for seminar on the 9th.

Chris travels to Tucson, AZ for the Cottrell Scholar Conference sponsored by Research Corporation for Science Advancement. The conference focuses on educating 21st century students and sustainable implementation of effective teaching methods. After the conference, Chris met up with Douglas group alum Wayne (Xingxian) Gu and had a tour of his workspace at Ventana Research Corporation.
