An NMR Method for Determination of Configuration of β-Substituted Carboxylic Acids

The absolute configuration at C(3) of β-chiral carboxylic acids can be determined from the sign of the 1H NMR chemical shift differences (Dd = dsyn - danti) of their 1-arylethylamide derivatives.
