Your numeric and letter grades are available on your Moodle page for the course (use the Moodle Site link above), under "My Grades". The scale below translates your Total Score--the sum of your midterm exams, minus your lowest midterm, plus your Final Exam--into a letter grade.

Because the four midterm exams sometimes have different difficulty--something I try to minimize when I write exams, but don't always succeed--the class mean for each exam may be different. As a result, in determining your Total Score, I use corrected exam scores that take into account differences in the exam means, rather than raw scores; these scores will be listed as "Exam 2 Corrected", etc. on your Moodle grade report. In this class, you get to drop your lowest midterm exam score, and the dropped midterm score will be your lowest Corrected score, not your lowest raw score.

Entries will be posted to the scale below after Exam 2, and then again after each exam.
