Welcome to the archived website for Andy Taton's Chemistry 4011/8011, "Mechanisms of Chemical Reactions"! This course was last taught by Andy in Fall 2006. Students are more than welcome to use the material on this website for their own learning; in particular, the problem sets, workshops and exams all have answer keys posted, and you are more than welcome to use these to test yourselves. I also encourage professors at any institution to point their students to this material.
Much of the basic outline of this course, and a few of the problem sets, I owe to Prof. Bill Tolman, who taught the class immediately before me. Many thanks to him, and to the other professors in the Department of Chemistry who taught this before and contributed to it.
