Summer 2019 application now open!
We are pleased to announce a Summer Undergraduate Theoretical Chemistry Research Fellowship Program sponsored by the Chemical Theory Center (CTC), Inorganometallic Catalyst Design Center (ICDC) and the Nanoporous Materials Genome Center (NMGC) in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
The program is open to all national and international undergraduate chemistry majors who will be entering their senior year in Fall 2019.
This fellowship is a full-time appointment for a ten-week period between June and August 2019.
Fellowship recipients will receive a ten-week stipend of $7000 plus a separate travel supplement, if requested, up to $500. If sufficient progress is made, the program will also provide funds up to $500 to present summer research results at a national conference.
Participants will perform research under the guidance of one or more of the following faculty:
Research projects will be assigned by a faculty adviser; research projects are available in all areas of theoretical and computational chemistry.
All participants will also present their research in a CTC/ICDC/NMGC minisymposium at the end of the summer and be invited to participate in an undergraduate research poster exposition on campus.
The application deadline for the summer 2019 program is January 31, 2019. When possible, decisions will be made by the end of February.
