Chemistry graduate accepts tenure faculty position

Shikha Nangia, who earned her doctorate in chemistry in 2006 under the tutelage of Professor Donald Truhlar, has accepted a tenure-track faculty position in the Biomedical and Chemical Engineering Department at Syracuse University. She conducted postdoctoral research at Pennsylvania State University. She has been a research assistant professor at Syracuse since 2009. Her research interest focuses in developing computational techniques to model a wide variety of materials. The projects target biomaterials in the nanometer to micrometer regime and mineral-water interfaces in millimeter scales.
