Cleanup Week Part I, January 7-11; training seminar, January 7

Cleanup Week Part I: Unknown chemical testing and disposal takes place from Monday, January 7, through Friday, January 11. This is an opportunity for laboratories to dispose of unknown waste at no cost to principal investigators. Lab Safety Officers (LSO) or other graduate students will learn how to test the unknown chemicals at a mandatory training seminar, which is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, January 7, in 100 Smith Hall. The unknown chemicals will then be tested at assigned times by the trained students, working under the supervision of the Department of Environmental Health & Safety (DEHS). Please note: LSOs must fill out a survey by Tuesday, January 1, to sign up their laboratories for testing. This cleanup week is put on by the Joint Safety Team and the DEHS.
