Senior Award Recipients
David A. and Merece H. Johnson Scholarship awarded to chemistry majors who have shown outstanding academic achievement—Jacob Edwards, Matt Hauwiller, and Dylan Walsh.
George T. Walker Scholarship awarded to chemistry majors who have shown outstanding academic achievement—Shyam Rajan Iyer, Lingxun Kong, Adam Matula, and Kyle Senger.
Junior Award Recipients
Robert C. Brasted Memorial Fellowship, a fellowship as well as a part time apprenticeship in the department’s General Chemistry Program awarded to an outstanding chemistry major who has expressed an interest in a teaching career in chemistry—Moriana Haj.
Lloyd W. Goerke Scholarship awarded to a chemistry major who has shown outstanding academic achievement and who has financial need—Quang Luu Nguyen.
Auzins Scholarship awarded to a chemistry major who has shown outstanding academic achievement and who has financial need—Kara Meyers and Matthew Styles.
Andrews Scholarship awarded to a chemistry major who has shown outstanding academic achievement and who has financial need—Erin Hill, Megan Magee, and Maximillian Margherio.
M. Cannon Sneed Scholarship awarded to a chemistry major who has shown outstanding academic achievement—Katherine Ziebarth.
Sophomore Awards
Thomas DuBruil Memorial Award awarded to sophomores who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in undergraduate research in chemistry—Daniel Bakke and Vignesh Palani.
Individual Awards
Betty A. Lewis Scholarship is given for outstanding scholastic achievement and who has financial need—Tenley Brown, Kelsey McCoy, and Megan Magee.
J. Lewis Maynard Memorial Prize in Advanced Inorganic Chemistry Award given for outstanding scholastic achievement in advanced inorganic chemistry—Jacob Edwards and Yue Wu.
Sally Herz Memorial Scholarship awarded to the top student in honors general chemistry—Matthew Hunt.
Jane B. Spence Scholarship awarded to the top student in the honors organic chemistry—Sammy Shaker.
Undergraduate Award in Analytical Chemistry sponsored by the Division of Analytical Chemistry of the American Chemical Society—Francis Morris. This award consists of a year’s subscription to the journal Analytical Chemistry, and is given for outstanding scholastic achievement in analytical chemistry.
Summer Research Fellows
