Excellence in Graduate Studies fellowships announced

Nine Department of Chemistry graduate students received Excellence in Graduate Studies fellowships, which are possible through the generous donations of alumni and faculty.

This year's fellowship recipients are:

  • Laura Clouston (Professor Connie Lu, adviser)—Graham N. Gleysteen Fellowship in Chemistry;
  • Geoffrey Li (Professor Gianluigi Veglia, adviser)—Excellence Fellowship;
  • Rebecca “Becca” Mackenzie (Professor Kenneth Leopold, adviser)—Lester C. and Joan M. Krogh Endowed Fellowship;
  • Seyedeh Moloud “Maral” Mousavi (Professor Philippe Buhlmann, adviser)—Graham N. Gleysteen Fellowship in Chemistry;
  • Jennifer “Jen” Strehlau (Professor Lee Penn and Professor Bill Arnold, advisers)—John Wertz Fellowship in Chemistry;
  • Pragya Verma (Professor Donald Truhlar, adviser)—Phillips 66 Fellowship;
  • Tao Wang (Professor Thomas Hoye, adviser)—Wayland E. Noland Fellowship;
  • Evan Weitz (Professor Valerie Pierre, adviser)—Wayland E. Noland Fellowship; and
  • Haoyu Yu (Professor Donald Truhlar, adviser)—Graham N. Gleysteen Fellowship in Chemistry.
