Professor Haynes honored as outstanding postdoctoral mentor

Professor Christy Haynes is chosen by the University of Minnesota's Postdoctoral Association as an "outstanding postdoctoral mentor." She received the Outstanding Mentor of Postdoctoral Scholars award, Thursday, September 19, during Postdoc Appreciation Week. She was nominated by postdoctoral researchers Hattie Ring, Ph.D., and Ashish Datt, Ph.D. The award recognizes extraordinary performance and achievement in mentoring postdoctoral fellows, postdoctoral associates, and research associates at the University of Minnesota who are within five years of obtaining their doctorate degrees. Outstanding mentoring is a critical element contributing to success during the postdoctoral training period. While faculty mentors play a key role in guiding postdoctoral scholars, this award recognizes a range of possible outstanding mentoring relationships.
