NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates $261,180 grant

The Department of Chemistry has received a three-year, $261,180 grant from the National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates, which will augment the Lando/Chemistry Summer Research Program. This grant will enable the department to offer summer research opportunities to about 10 additional undergraduate students each summer. Currently, only about five to six students are able to participate.

This program encourages sophomores and juniors interested in the chemical sciences to learn more about research in chemistry and to provide them with opportunities to work in a lab under the direction of a faculty member.

Principal investigators are Professors Philippe Buhlmann and Steven Kass.
