Professor Donald Truhlar, one of the top computational and theoretical
chemists in the country, is featured on the Pacific Northwest National
Laboratory’s Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory website. The
article is titled, Fast company. High performance computing accelerates scientific advances.
Truhlar
talks about one of the complex problems that his group is tackling,
which involves the computational treatment of charge transfer and charge
transport in photo activated systems. He is creating methods to account
for more complex electronic behaviors that exceed the accuracy of
existing computational methods. Read the article at z.umn.edu/truhlar14.
