Summer undergraduate researcher chosen to present at symposium

Recent research from the research group of Professor

The research of Melissa Hardy, a National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NSF REU) 2015 summer participant in the Department of Chemistry, has been selected for the Council on Undergraduate Research Experiences for Undergraduate Symposium in Washington, D.C., October 25-26. Melissa was advised by Professor Christopher Douglas. Her research poster title is, "A Novel Synthesis of Hydroxyphenstatin: An Application of Tandem C-O, C-H Bond Activation." Melissa is a senior at Grinnell College, majoring in chemistry and French.
