Computer and Electronic Services

Responsible for the setup and maintainence of computers, electronic equipment and centralized servers within the Chemistry department.

Departure Checklist

The following check list is to aid employees leaving the Department of Chemistry. Our goal is to make your transition from the Department as smooth as possible.

Glass Technology Service

Fabrication and Repair of scientific glass and laboratory equipment for Industrial, Chemical, Medical and Research facilities.

Lecture Demo

The Lecture Demonstration Facility exists to provide instructors with the resources that will enable them to illustrate the chemical principles behind their lecture material and in so doing, hopefully, engender a greater understanding of those principles amongst their audience.

Machine Shop

Chemistry no longer operates a machine shop.For machine shop services contact the Physics Machine Shop at 612-624-7048.

Microcomputer Lab
located in 101D Smith Hall

This computer lab is a service provided by the Department of Chemistry for use primarily by its graduate and undergraduate students.

Research Stockroom

We carry a full line of chemicals, general laboratory, office and cleaning supplies. Link to Application for Stockroom purchasing card.

Reservations for rooms, laptops and other eqiupment.

Safety

The purpose of the Department of Chemistry Safety Manual is to provide guidelines and policies that will promote a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel and students within the department, for all visitors to the department, and for all other persons who have reason to be working in departmental laboratories
