The Speakers' Banquet was held June 28, 1999, at the Weisman Art Museum on the campus of the University of Minnesota. On the previous photo, you've read how Symposium co-Chair George Barany (standing, left of this photo)reminisced about the circumstances of his wedding to Barbara. Here, Symposium co-Chair Gregg B. Fields is about to confess that in order to relieve the stress of organizing the Symposium, he decided (February 17, 1999) to do something that was completely relaxing, i.e. get married to Janelle Lauer (seated at right of photo, black dress).
