Fun of the Above

I released this remarkable "mid-week level" puzzle on May 5, 2005 (i.e., 05/05/05), in itself a remarkable calendar date, to an anxious class of organic chemistry students during the last week of instruction for the semester. One of the long answers resonated with a point I had been making repeatedly to my Chem 2302 students, and several of Michael's original clues were rewritten to give a more organic chemistry slant to the puzzle. That said, the "reveal" late in the puzzle is sure to dazzle all word lovers, regardless of their level of scientific background.
