Chemistry 101

by Jill Denny and Jeff Chen / Edited by Will Shortz

This remarkable crossword puzzle by a wife & husband team was published in the December 6, 2012 (Thursday) New York Times, and is hosted on our pages with the kind acquiescence of co-constructor Jeff Chen. My miniscule contribution has been to suggest a title (note: NYT weekday puzzles do not have titles) that is evocative of the elementary chemistry so beautifully mapped onto the crossword grid.

Click here to view or download the puzzle in PDF format; here to download it as a puz file; here to download it as an ipuz file [requires the free Puzzazz app to solve]; here to solve the puzzle interactively (thanks to Jim Horne) and here for the solution.
