Vice Versa

This "mid-week level" puzzle was conceived around 1 a.m. (local time) on Saturday, August 13, 2012, and went from empty grid to completed camera-ready product in time for a mass e-mail that was sent out at 8 a.m. (local time) coincident to all of the major TV networks breaking into their regularly scheduled broadcasting for a special live event (photograph on the right).
