There are three sets of skills that need to be learned:
There are many ways to perform each of these steps. For example, many "button" operations can be carried out using "menus" and vice versa. This manual usually describes only one method for performing each procedure, but if you find other methods that appeal to you more, feel free to use them.
Tutorial tip for first-time users: It is important to learn how to adjust horizontal and vertical scales because these skills are assumed for many of the advanced procedures. However, you cannot learn adjustment techniques until you have an actual NMR spectrum. Therefore, start the tutorial as if you were preparing a basic "full" spectrum for printout. At a certain point the tutorial will guide you to the instructions for adjusting horizontal and vertical scales. If you already know how to do this, feel free to skip this detour.
