Education, Outreach, and Diversity

The CSP implements, facilitates, and fosters a wide range of educational and public outreach activities. Our faculty, researchers, and administrative team work diligently to engage and educate the public on the societal importance of sustainable polymers.

EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAMMING

The NSF Center for Sustainable Polymers partners with the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement (CAREI) to evaluate our education and outreach programs, so that we can continuously work to improve and strengthen the impact of our efforts. CAREI’s mission is to improve the quality of education for all learners through neutral, rigorous research and evaluation of educational contexts and initiatives.

If you have ideas for outreach programs contact the Director of Education, Outreach, and Diversity, Jennifer McCambridge.

COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY

Diversity Statement

The NSF Center for Sustainable Polymers is committed to promoting and supporting diversity in all of its forms. Collaborations formed among people with varied views, perspectives, and backgrounds enhance the experiences of center participants and also form the foundation for creative and innovative solutions to grand challenges in the field. The CSP embraces an atmosphere of mutual respect that is free from prejudice and intolerance and works to increase the engagement of individuals currently and historically marginalized in the STEM fields.

The CSP welcomes new partnerships with organizations serving currently and historically marginalized groups in the sciences. Please contact csp@umn.edu for more information.
