This "mid-week level" sports-themed puzzle (17x15) was posted on the eve of (spoiler) America's greatest secular holiday, which in the year 2014 coincided with a much anticipated annual celebration and played out in the background of a burgeoning political scandal. As usual, nobody says it better than Gail Collins.
