This "early-week level" puzzle celebrated a specific personal occasion for a dear friend and colleague. The date of its release is highly significant. After completing the puzzle (spoiler), learn about the puzzle's honoree (20-Across) by clicking here, and you can find a picture of him in earlier times to the right. You may also want to multiply the two numbers in the puzzle's title, and then subtract the result from the copyright date.
