Rock Around The Clock

by Todd Gross / Edited by George Barany

This Sunday-sized themed tribute puzzle was originally created in the Spring of 2015 as a prize for the Enigma Variations crossword metapuzzle contest, but we held off its release to coincide with the publication of another puzzle by its constructor for the New York Times. After completing the puzzle (spoiler), learn more about its concept and back-story, including numerous interesting musical interludes, by clicking here for our "midrash."

Click here (two pages) or here (one page, for those with good eyesight) to view or download the puzzle in PDF format; here to download it as a puz file; here to download it as an ipuz file [requires the free Puzzazz app to solve]; here to solve the puzzle interactively (thanks to Jim Horne); here for the solution. Click here (two pages) or here (one page) for the original (unedited by our group) version of the puzzle, here for the puz file, here for the ipuz file, here for interactive play, and here for the solution. We thank Christopher Adams, Ralph Bunker, John Child, Mark Diehl, Martin Herbach, and Ned White for beta testing and suggestions leading to the "main" version of the puzzle shown here.
