This Tuesday-ish puzzle was constructed at a post-ACPT gathering [ACPT = 37th American Crossword Puzzle Tournament] by a real and virtual group of admirers of its honoree [pictured to the right, talking to two cute kids]. The actual date of release is of special significance to (spoiler) the honoree, as you will learn by solving the puzzle.
