Ta'amei Tashbetz
טעמי תשבץ

by George Barany and Rachel Stock Spilker

This musically-themed Sunday-sized puzzle was constructed as a fun adjunct to (spoiler) a major professional conference of this organization, held June 30 to July 4, 2013 at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center in Minnesota. You don't have to be Jewish to solve the puzzle, but it wouldn't hurt.  After completing the puzzle (spoiler), you may enjoy listening to/watching this (4 minutes) or this (2 minutes). Also, click here for the program of a concert held on July 2, 2013, and here for a profile of the individual pictured to the right.

Click here (two pages) to view or download the puzzle in PDF format; here to download it as a puz file; here to download it as an ipuz file [requires the free Puzzazz app to solve]; here to solve the puzzle (albeit with some crucial formating lost) interactively (thanks to Jim Horne); and here for the solution. We thank Noam Elkies, Martin Herbach, Joseph Konstan, Arlene Romoff, and Alex Vratsanos for test solving the puzzle and for helpful suggestions that improved it.
