This "mid-week level" puzzle celebrated a specific personal occasion of significance to one of my friends and colleagues in the Chemistry Department at the University of Minnesota. A man of many talents, some of which are revealed in the puzzle, this puzzle's honoree (see photo) has even written a crossword puzzle with me.
