Postdocs

Youngdong Yoo
Youngdong is a postdoc in our lab growing 2D MoS2 and WS2 structures.

Graduate Students

Zach DeGregorio
Zach is a 4th year graduate student. He is building the CVD system in our lab, and will be focusing on the chemistry of making new 2D compounds!

Aaron Schulzetenberg
Aaron is a 4th year graduate student in the chemical physics program. Aaron is developing new techniques to probe the dynamics of excitons in molecular systems.

Harrison Frisk
Harrison is a 3rd year graduate student in the chemical physics program. Harrison is working on time-resolved photoemission experiments to study 2D materials.
Undergraduates

Nichole Clark
Nichole is he latest undergraduate to join our lab. Nichole is working to make high quality, large grain CVD graphene.

Past Members

Chase Taylor
When he's not making math approachable to the masses by channeling Ryan Lewis, Chase is our resident graphene transfer expert. Chase has been making suspended graphene samples, and exploring their chemical interactions with chromium and other adhesive metals.

Guillermo Turcios
Guillermo, a chemistry and japanese double major at Gustavus University, was the first student in the Johns lab. His contributions were seminal in getting the lab off the ground. He's currently studying in Japan, but we hope to see him back at the U this summer.
