Library exhibit honors the work of chemistry scientists

Chemistry is critical for solving society's most important problems—improving human health and the environment, developing nanotechnology and novel advanced materials for myriad applications, and unraveling problems associated with finding alternative sources of energy. In honor of International Year of Chemistry, a Walter Library exhibit highlights research accomplishments from throughout the history of the University of Minnesota's Department of Chemistry. The exhibit runs through Friday, August 26, in the Great Hall at the Walter Library.

The exhibit posters were designed and created by Megan Kocher, library assistant II, with copy and photos provided by Eileen Harvala, Department of Chemistry communications coordinator, and archive, research, and content assistance provided by Meghan Lafferty, chemistry, chemical engineering, and materials science librarian.
