Excellence in Graduate Studies Fellowships awarded

This year's Department of Chemistry's Excellence in Graduate Studies Fellowship honorees are Sijie "Andy" Luo from Professor Donald Truhlar's group; Charuta Palsuledesai from Professor Mark Distefano's group; and Alireza Shokri from Professor Steven Kass' group.

The Excellence Fellowships were developed to recognize top chemistry and chemical physics doctorate students entering their third year of study. The intent of these awards is to help provide support as students transition their program from classes and preliminaries to more concentrated research efforts. This program is highly competitive and many past recipients have received further awards in both university and external competitions.
