Professor highlights research at Outburst Mini-Symposium

Department of Chemistry Professor Marc Hillmyer is participating in the Institute on the Environment's (IonE) Outburst Mini-Symposium, which is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, in R380 Learning & Environmental Sciences.

Hillmyer is one of IonE's 20 resident fellows who will provide lively 3- to 5-minute overviews of what their research is addressing, how they are doing it, and what it means.

As director of the Center for Sustainable Polymers, Hillmyer will talk about the development of environmentally friendly plastics. Other topics for the symposium include renewable energy and property rights, sustainable urban living, and using tree rings to understand climate change.
