Former chemistry graduate student honored by ACS

Laurie Breyfogle, Ph.D., a former Department of Chemistry graduate student who was advised by Professors Marc Hillmyer and William Tolman, has received a Rising Star Award from the Women Chemists Committee of the American Chemical Society.

This award recognizes exceptional mid-career women chemists across all areas of chemistry on a national level. To be given annually, beginning in 2012, this new award is also intended to help promote retention of women in science.

Breyfogle works for Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, OH.
