Regents Professor Lawrence Que Jr. receives Bailar Medal

In honor of his outstanding contributions to inorganic chemistry, Regents Professor Lawrence Que Jr. will receive the Bailar Medal and will deliver the 2012 Bailar Lecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Bailar Medal honors University of Illinois Professor John Bailar Jr. who was one of the pioneers in the field of inorganic chemistry. The lectureship and the medal have been awarded annually to many distinguished chemists from around the globe since Professor Bailar’s retirement in 1972.
