Students compete in sustainability innovative student challenge

Recent research from the research group of Professor

Evgeny Beletskiy and Masoud Samet, graduate students working with Professor Steven Kass, were finalists in the Dow Sustainability Innovation Student Challenge Award (SISCA). The challenge was co-sponsored by the Institute on the Environment. Their presentation was, Using Nature’s Strategies to Improve Health and Preserve the Environment {hydrogen bond catalysts with rigid structures (scyllo-inositols) come from a natural source (myo-inositol).} Watch their presentation online.

SISCA recognizes and rewards students innovation and research that encourages and promotes sustainable solutions to the world's most pressing social, economic, and environmental problems. Beletskiy and Samet were in competition with 11 others.
