Recent research from the research group of Professor
Jacob “Jake” Brutman, a fourth-year graduate student working with Professor Marc Hillmyer and the Center for Sustainable Polymers, has been selected to participate in the Excellence in Graduate Polymer Research Symposium.
Selection to this symposium is a distinct honor and recognition in the polymer community. It is sponsored by the American Chemical Society Polymer division.
Brutman will present his research at the symposium and at poster session at the spring 2016 ACS National Meeting in San Diego. His research focuses on sustainable urethane-based vitrimers. He will also talk about ongoing research efforts on utilizing renewable cross-linkers and production of sustainable elastomers.
