The group welcomes Lafe Purvis and Zhuoran Zhang as first-year graduate students. Lafe joins us from Gilead Sciences where he was a senior research associate. Zhuoran finished his B.S. in Chemistry from Peking University. (November 27)

Dr. Daniel Everson joins the lab as a postdoctoral associate. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Rochester, where he worked with Professor Daniel J. Weix. (August 30)

Congratulations to Katie McGarry for the successful defense of her thesis, "Synthesis and Crystal Design of Rubrene Derivatives for Use in Organic Electronics." She has accepted a post-doctoral position with Professor Tim Clark at University of San Diego. (August 30)

Several members of the group head to Baker Park Reserve Campground for a weekend retreat. (August 23-25)
