Crossword Puzzles by George Barany and Friends We put the "fun" in "dysfunctional" Forging community through wordplay
This page [readily accessed at http://tinyurl.com/gbpuzzle] contains links to published [New York Times, Chronicle of Higher Education, Games, Minnesota magazine, Natural Selections, etc.] or "self-published" crossword puzzles by George Barany, constructed for the most part in collaboration with any number of brilliant individuals [learn more about them by clicking either on the link just given to the left, or on their names in the index that follows]. Puzzles are 15x15 unless indicated otherwise [in which case our convention is number of rows x number of columns], and are listed in reverse chronological order (most recent first). Some of these puzzles are for general audiences, while others (particularly the "tributes") are for niche audiences [in some cases, we provide alternative versions that do not require specialized knowledge]. Moreover, some puzzles reflect the author's personal interests and biases [e.g., sports, classical music, science and math, and the time-sensitive current events and political themed crosswords addressed by the suite of puzzles constructed for the most part with Arthur Rothstein, and later with the expanded team.] Refer to the column entitled "Comments" for more specific information (including our best "guestimate" as to the level of difficulty), and note that some of the puzzle pages provide graphics that might give you a better idea as to whether or not you want to tackle them, as well as links for solving them on-line.
